Theatre Review: The Cher Show at MK Theatre
A show I will never forget. As someone who is apart of the City Girl Network who thrive in supporting, empowering and inspiring women across all cities, this isn’t a show to be missed. I went in blind, I love Cher songs, but I had no idea of the story behind her success and WOW, how empowering.

REVIEW
A show you HAVE to see. Cher has been an icon for 1965 when joining Sonny, a man she didn’t realise she didn’t need. I don’t want to give too much away because going in with no knowledge of how empowering she is, I think made the show even better. Cher is a woman who, thanks to her mum has been taught that her talent is her tool to success. From watching the most loved film, Cinderella to the first hit ‘I got you babe’ the crowd held in their breathe to scream out the lyrics until the end.
If there is one thing i’ve learnt from seeing this show it’s if you want something in life, GO FOR IT. The Cher Show is a documentary of the fashion and musical icon Cher who welcomes us into the story of how she became THE Cher. The show introduces us to three icon stages of her life. The first being her younger self when the start of her career (Played by Millie Connell) began with the controlling Sonny, played Lucas Rush. It then continued with the most incredible costumed, lady of Cher, Danielle Steers with such an empowering voice and then ending with her realising her worth which was played by the star of the show Samantha Ivey who truly showed that we should always remember our worth.
Standout Quote or Moment: When Cher, Samantha Harvey explains that SHE is the man
See If: You love female empowerment, want to be inspired and want the perfect girls night
Last Impression: THE best show I have ever reviewed, I left feeling inspired.
