Recipe: Easy Homemade Chocolate Bark

It almost feels like cheating calling this a recipe as it’s really quick and easy to put together. I’ve used dark chocolate in this version but you can be much more creative and use a variety of nuts, fruit and spices to make interesting combinations.

My favourites include white chocolate and cardamom, dark chocolate with dried cherries and pecans or even a biscuit and raisin combination with milk chocolate. Chocolate bark makes a great gift too! Simply wrap it up in clear cellophane and tie with a ribbon for a lucky recipient.

Chocolate Bark Ingredients

  • 300gr dark chocolate

  • 50gr white chocolate

  • Pistachios

  • Cranberries

6 easy instructions for making Chocolate Bark

  1. Melt the dark chocolate in the microwave sticking to short bursts of 20-30 seconds heat.

  2. Once it has fully melted pour it onto a flat tray.

  3. Immediately sprinkle the chopped nuts and fruit on to the melted dark chocolate.

  4. Melt the white chocolate and drizzle it over the dark chocolate.

  5. Leave it to set at room temperature and once it has hardened break into irregular pieces.

  6. Store in a cool cupboard at room temperature and enjoy!
