World Fashion Day 2021: Street Style Around the Globe

Happy World Fashion Day! (albeit a few days late!) A day to celebrate the art of fashion globally through the commemoration of the achievements of contributors to the fashion industry over the past year.

To mark the day, we thought we’d talk Street Style around the world and highlight the iconic individuals setting trends contributing to the evolution of StreetWear in their country and/or region.

UK: SUSIE LAU (@susiebubble)

Susie is a British fashion blogger and founder of Style Bubble- turned fashion journalist. She has collaborated with fashion powerhouses including Gap, Selfridges and Armani and covers fashion weeks around the world.

We love Susie’s eclectic, relaxed take on streetwear, layering different textures and prints with a clear colour vision. Looks that take vision and imagination to put together and are even harder to pull off.

USA: REESE BLUTSTEIN (@double3xposure)

Atlanta based, Reese and her sister, Molly, began posting pictures to their Instagram account in 2015 to showcase their innovative interpretation on vintage fashion.  Reese is now a respected member of the fashion community and has featured in campaigns for Gucci and is often sighted at Fashion Weeks.

Reese’s street style frequently seems to be a nod to 90’s grunge and she often styles pieces she has had for years with a new gritty wearability.

Farah’s streetwear is an ethereal mix of pastel tones, loose layers and tonal accessories in stark contrast to the vibrancy of European street style.

Genevieve's feed is littered with stunning print-centric streetwear with pared back accessories without the pomp and fuss of Western streetwear looks.

Gaby is a fashion influencer and YouTuber. Her blog, Moda Capital, is one of the most read blogs in Mexico.

Gaby brings streetwear down to earth with classic shapes like boiler suits and denim cut offs. Her style consists of staple pieces in chic fabrics and cuts, proving that streetwear doesn’t have to be “in your face” all of the time. As an aside, her insta feed is giving us serious sun envy.
