About Velvet
Welcome to Velvet in Hove, a fabulous independent store, full of wonderful fashion, accessories, homeware and lifestyle.
We have gorgeous new products coming in every day and constantly change our stock to make it an incredibly special shopping experience in our large two floor 2500sqft store.
Our customers love shopping with us, spending lots of time browsing, enjoying the store environment, getting inspiration, trying on clothes and chatting to us. Our amazing team of sixteen women, aged 18-81, help make Velvet what it is.
We pride ourselves on offering a beautiful edit of clothes, accessories and homeware in a super friendly and relaxed store.
A little history - Velvet was set up in 2000, in a little shop in the North Laine, Brighton, by Emma. 23 years of retailing later (and three children!) we have moved a few times and had a few more stores, but we have been incredibly happy in our large 2 floor Hove Store for the last 15 years.
The store has just had its most successful year yet and I am utterly delighted that Velvet is thriving in these times.
As we have short stock runs, and new stock all the time we only sell in-store, so we hope you can visit us in Hove.
