St Mary’s Sexual Abuse Referral Centre

Saint Mary’s Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) provides a comprehensive and coordinated forensic, counselling and aftercare service to men, women and children from the Greater Manchester area who have experienced rape or sexual assault. SARC provide support to individuals who have experienced sexual assault or rape at any point during their life, whether this has occurred recently or in the past. Additionally, SARC can offer immediate crisis support and a forensic service to Cheshire.

These services can be accessed and used without making an official report to the police however SARC can support individuals if and when they choose to speak to the police.

Women’s Aid Manchester

Women’s Aid Manchester work to empower women who have been affected by domestic abuse to live independent lives free from fear and abuse. Offering support to meet the needs of women and children affected by domestic abuse the services offered are run by women that are based on feedback from survivors and responding to what they defined as needing most. Women’s Aid work to develop partnerships to strive towards a society in which domestic abuse is no longer tolerated.
