Opportunity: Share Your Experiences - Crisis in Masculinity Documentary Series
Content warning: This recruitment notice includes references to violence, misogyny, suicide and extremist views.
Travel Expenses Covered*
Pulse Films are looking for women aged 18+ from across the UK to share their experiences for a sensitive five-part documentary series for a major British broadcaster.
This documentary series investigates the so-called "crisis in masculinity": examining how young men are falling behind in education and employment, alarming suicide rates, and the concerning rise in violence against women perpetrated by increasingly younger men.
We are particularly seeking women who have been impacted by:
Romantic partners, siblings or family members who have come to be radicalised by manosphere content/influencers or online extremist misogynistic ideologies.
We want to understand the impact these movements have had on women, relationships and on households all over the UK.
Time commitment: Participants will be required for a group interview lasting 1-2 hours (approximately). Filming locations and dates to be arranged based on participant availability and location.
Travel Expenses Covered*
*All pre-agreed travel expenses in connection with the above filming will be covered by Pulse Films
Privacy and anonymity: Pulse Films is committed to handling all stories with utmost confidentiality, sensitivity and due care. We understand the complex sensitivities involved in stories like this, including potential safety concerns, therefore we are happy to have a conversation about anonymous filming for this segment, if the participants so wishes.
Please note that due to production constraints, if a high number of responses are received, we may not be able to respond to everyone.
Please contact us on docseries@pulsefilms.co.uk, with a brief description of your story and contact details by 26th of August 2025.
Please only share any information/experiences directly to the Pulse Films email address, rather than host pages or via intermediaries.
