A New Collaborative Art Space for emerging creatives in Bristol

There is an exciting new creative hub in Bristol showcasing a collection of emerging, as well as established, artists. Kick-started by painter Clare Hooper, with her bold ‘un-still life’ collection, you can now find a broad range of artists featured at this up and coming gallery.

Artists include Britta Glass Art, Hen, Artist GG (that’s me!), Lucy Routh, Will Stephenson, Dog Head Designs, Jeanette Read and Charlotte Manser Ceramics. If you aren’t local to Bristol, I urge you to check out their Instagrams, as they’re just too talented to miss.

Nestled within Clifton Village arcade, the space is bursting with colour. Expect to find a diverse range of ceramics, interiors, art prints and originals. It’s simply a hive of upcoming creativity with huge potential to upgrade your post-hangover Sunday stroll!

Whether you’re shopping or just looking, you can enjoy a fantastic range of affordable (yes - I really mean it) art. Perfect for if you want to add some spice to your new flat, or perhaps are beginning to invest in your own art collection. You can find original abstracts, or hand finished prints in all shapes and sizes..

If you're looking to treat yourself for making it through a global pandemic, or just fancy something new, this might just be the place to start.

On one hand there is Britta Glass art with her stunning collection which incorporates Mother of Pearl and 23ct gold leaf (very fancy). And on the other hand, there’s Will Stephenson’s work, with each figure featured in his pieces being totally unique.

You can also find prints of nudes (rather spicy) by Brighton/Bristol based artist ‘Hen’, as well as gorgeous, textured ceramics by Charlotte Manser. Do you know what seconds or thirds are? Neither did I! Go and find out!!

As well as the art featuring here in Clifton Village, some of the pieces have made their way further afield. Clare Hooper can be found in Italy, Charlotte Manser in Singapore, and Artist GG is due to exhibit in Athens in August.

Despite exciting adventures abroad, it’s important to remember that as we emerge from COVID hibernation, we must continue to support local, independent business, as well as emerging creatives who have spent the past 18 months honing their craft. They need our support now more than ever.

That being said, go and check out your local artists at Clare Hooper Gallery and spread the love!
