Manchester Girl x Cucu Fashion

Whether its a new pair of winter boots, some comfy trainers or a new pair of sparkly heels, we all love shoe shopping. It’s a fantastic way to make a fashion statement, or show of your individual personality. Shoes tie an outfit together, make or break a night out and give you confidence to walk tall.

On a rainy day in November, five members of Manchester Girl came together for a fashion photo session at Impossible, Peters Street. They each chose their favourite pair of Cucu Fashion shoes and styled them to give you insight into what Manchester based brand Cucu fashion has to offer! Shot by the talented Anna Novak of @soulcapturephotography they tell us what their everyday style is and what made them choose each of the pairs.

What’s your day to day style?

I mostly wear work-wear, but I always try to wear colour to try and break things up a bit. My style is quite structured in the week, but on the weekend I’m a lot more indie and relaxed. On my days off, you will usually find me in dresses paired with a cute pair of boots.

Why did you choose your shoes?

I love boots for winter as they work well with so many different outfits. These are soft, black and stylish and I know I’ll be able to wear them with anything, especially as they are so comfortable! They will also transition really well into spring and summer, so are a pair I will keep reaching for.

You can get these gorgeous boots here- £32

What’s your day to day style?

day to day I prefer darker, more casual clothes. I have begun to appreciate style more as I have gotten older, but I wouldn’t call myself a ‘fashionista’. I pick clothes and shoes that look good on me and are comfortable to wear.

Why did you choose your shoes?

I love that these heeled boots can be worn with a casual outfit like jeans and a comfy t-shirt, or more dressed up when I go out for drinks. The pattern is on the back, and it’s a nice surprise! I haven’t seen any styles like this before, so I love that they are a bit different. They are also SO comfy!

What’s your day to day style?

I prefer casual clothes because of the nature of my job as a freelancer. I tend to dress quite classic with a bit of grunge. Comfortable yet stylish is something which I aim for. I tend to stick to neutral and monochrome colours.

Why did you choose your shoes?

I chose these boots because they are comfy and stylish.  I really love biker boots, especially with studs, so the fact this pair have buckles and studs means I am in love! These are going to be great for going on the back of a bike while I go travelling!

What’s your day to day style?

I work 9-5 in a corporate job, so I want pieces that will travel seamlessly from work to drinks. Versatility and comfort are important, but I do like to look good too.

Why did you choose your shoes?

I really like the fact that they look like classic black boots from the front and sassy from the back with that leopard print contrast. They are amazingly comfy which is, of course, an added bonus on top of the design!

What’s your day to day style?

I wear basic, comfortable clothes. As an Event Manager, I am always on the go so my day to day clothes have to be practical. Black, white and grey with the occasional dash of colour are my go to’s. I have an urban style, and always prefer comfort over discomfort so you will often find me in a hoodie, jeans and sneakers- which I collect. (The more unique the better!)

Why did you choose your shoes?

I usually have to wear plain, corporate clothing, so I like to spice up my outfit with sneakers, so these are perfect to wear for work. They are Camo print which I love, they have a splash of colour and are stylish!

You can find these trainers here- £28
