Manchester Girl Spotlight: Jennifer Tattersall

Manchester Girl has been helping women find friendship, business connections, and personal growth for many years. We wanted to shine a spotlight on some of the incredible women within the network and celebrate their successes, as well as their love for this vibrant city.

Jennifer Tattersall

Job Titles: Marketing Consultant, Relationship Mindset Coach & Manchester Girl Community Manager

When and why did you make Manchester home?

I’m originally from Lancashire, but moved to London soon after graduation.  After 7 years, I moved to Hong Kong for work, before going freelance and working remotely from Thailand and Indonesia for 3 years. The pandemic brought me home. The city has changed so much, I love it!

What do you do for Manchester Girl?

I am the Community Manager for Manchester Girl, so I oversee the general running of the community, build brand partnerships, and onboard our new volunteers.

What makes Manchester Girl so special for you?

Community is everything to me, so I’ve focussed on building relationships and growing my network of friends here. The network was a life saver for me, I have met so many amazing women through volunteering!

What do you do for work?

I am self-employed as a Marketing Consultant with a focus on brand communications and digital strategy. I worked my way up the career ladder having started out at marketing agencies, and have been fortunate to work with companies such as ITV, as well as various NGOs and charities.

Having gone through a divorce whilst in Asia, I decided to do Relationship Psychology Diploma in 2021. I love to empower women who are struggling, and teach them the mindset tools to navigate life after a break-up at any age. We are stronger than we think!

I’m writing a monthly feature for the City Girl Network called ‘Let’s Talk About Love’, and building out a support hub, which anyone is free to join.

Where are your go-to places in Manchester?

I live in Ancoats and love all of the local bars and restaurants like Ducie Street Warehouse and Pen and Pencil, as well as the abundance of fitness studios like Yoga Soul.

As for coworking, you can’t beat Colony - the home of our Cowork Club. They treat our MG community so well!

How can our members connect with you online?

You can reach me through my website: www.jennifertattersall.com, Facebook page ‘The Breakup Playbook’ or pop me an email.
