Grease really is the word. This 1950’s America teenage culture musical truly captures the high school environment. The story unfolds at Rydell High School, focusing on the lives of the students returning from summer vacation.

The protagonist, Danny Zuko, and the new girl, Sandy Dumbrowski, recount their summer romance to their respective friends. Danny boasts about his exploits to the T-Birds, a greaser gang, while Sandy shares her more innocent version with the Pink Ladies, a clique of girls led by Rizzo.Throughout the act, Danny and Sandy’s conflicting personas come to light. Danny struggles to maintain his tough-guy image while being with Sandy, who is more conservative and sweet.

Various subplots emerge, such as Rizzo's complicated relationship with Kenickie, one of the T-Birds, and the other students’ struggles with love, identity, and peer pressure.

During Act Two, the tension between Danny and Sandy's differing social circles intensifies. Danny tries to become a jock to impress Sandy, leading to various comedic and heartfelt moments. Meanwhile, Rizzo deals with a pregnancy scare, showcasing the harsh realities behind the lighthearted facade of teenage life.

Standout Quote or Moment: The Medley at the end got us all on our feet and dancing away with the cast!

See If: If you're a fan of classic musicals with those well known tunes that get up in the mood for dancing!

Last Impression: Brilliant show, the original song’s were great but also the new songs were brilliant too! The Mooning one made us laugh!
