University Fashion- Staying Stylish And Comfy On A Budget

It’s that time of year again - the next step. Excitement in the air, tinged with nerves as you set out on your own. Kind of. It’s the next level of independence called University. You’ve shed your school self and now ready for meeting new people all over again. The difference this time is that you’re all finding your feet and discovering the path you might want your professional life to take, but you’re gonna have some serious fun while you’re at it right?

Jeans and tees are of course daily staples, but what about some other bits that will add some ease and interest? Read on for some easy ideas to add to make up your outfit!

Dungarees : Lucy and Yak
The ultimate dungarees for minimal effort and maximum comfort! They come in so many colours, prints and fabrics, so be prepared to have a hard time deciding which pair you’ll wear again and again. There’s classic block colours but if fun print is your thing, there will be no shortage of that either. All made in their factory based in India where they ensure everyone in the supply chain is happy - win win all round!

Thick knit: Wool and the Gang

As we hit the colder months, a thick knit will be your best friend. Why not make it unique to you and knit it yourself? Yes really. It’s not all retro patterns and granny’s needles ya know and so easy to do when you’re taking a break from studying. Wool and Gang makes it easy for you - choose a style you like and they send you the wool, needles and pattern. Plus, you can choose from some really nice natural yarns including their newly released hemp yarn.

Bottoms: Mayamiko
When you just don’t have the time to think about it but still want something put together, the smart jogger is your solution. More structured than a fitness jogger, but still feels like pyjamas. Dress down with a sweatshirt and trainers or dress it up with a heel and something loose or cropped up top - job done!

On your back : Sanchos
The one accessory that will always stand the test of time is the trusty backpack. Most days you might have more than you can carry, so throw it into one of these at Sanchos (they also have some awesome sustainable fashion). Made from recycled plastic bottles, they make for the perfect, sturdy protector of all things. It’ll probably see you through well beyond the year!

Don’t forget your undies! Sustainably and ethically made AND comes in Multipacks? Yes please! Choose your favourite style and get stocking up, they even do activewear with Silvertech! It basically means it keeps fresher for longer and so means less washing. Ok, they might be on the pricier side, but will last you an age if they’re looked after properly.
