The Old Market is launching a thrilling season of events as part of Brighton Festival 2026. ‘Of Land, Sea and Sky’ kicks off on 2nd May to celebrate of all things nature, and to spotlight the environments and landscapes that we call home.

Launch Party: Changing Currents (Music)
Saturday 2nd May
The first event in the series will be a fabulous launch party. To entertain the audience will be Brighton DJ ‘Changing Currents’, who’s sure to offer an electrifying performance.
Sounds of the Ocean (Film/Digital Exhibition)
Wednesday 6th May – Saturday 9th May
‘Sound of the Ocean’ will be an immersive exhibition into deep waters-an opportunity to sit down, relax, and enjoy live ambient music and gorgeous visuals of the ocean and sea creatures.
Kendal Mountain Tour 2026 (Film/Talk)
Tuesday 12th may
The Kendal Mountain Tour returns to Brighton for a short movie screening and Q&A. You’ll have a chance to listen to incredible tales of adventures and expeditions.
TAKKUUK (Digital Exhibition/Film)
Tuesday 19th May – Saturday 23th May
Created by Northern Irish electronic duo BICEP, TAKKUUK will be an immersive installation all about indigenous culture, life, and climate change in the Arctic. Listen to first-hand stories of people and artists living in the Arctic Region, and how climate change is impacting their lives.
Werkha presents Saturama (Music/Film)
Friday 22nd May
To end this fantastic season of events, ‘Saturama’ will be an audio-visual collaboration between poets, enviromentalists, activits, and artists. A magical journey through rainforests.
