Wahaca Launches Weather-Based Summer Rewards with Free Margaritas and Half-Price Meals
Rain or shine, Wahaca’s new summer rewards are set to brighten your day.
We all know the British summer is… unpredictable at best. But instead of letting it dampen your plans, Wahaca is giving you a delicious reason to embrace it—whether you're dodging drizzle or basking in a heatwave.
Starting Monday 16th June, Wahaca is launching Wahaca The Weather, a vibrant seasonal campaign offering exclusive weather-triggered treats in all of its restaurants across the UK. Think of it as your new summer forecast for flavour, where every kind of weather comes with a side of something tasty.
Wahaca Sunshine Bowl
When It Rains, Get Half-Price Sunshine
Caught in a downpour? Pop into Wahaca and warm up with 50% off their Sunshine Bowl—a nourishing, salad-style dish packed with the bold, zesty flavours of Mexico. It’s the perfect feel-good pick-me-up for grey days.
When It’s 28°C+, Toast with a Free Margarita
If temperatures soar to 28°C or higher, Wahaca is dishing out free freshly-shaken margaritas to celebrate. Take your pick from classic, picante, raspberry or passion fruit. Sunshine never tasted so good.
(Edinburgh diners, you’ll be treated to a free ice cream sundae instead—because Wahaca’s still got your back.)

How It Works
Each day, Wahaca checks the local BBC weather forecast (based on your city: London, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Brighton, etc.) to decide which reward to offer. Simply show up, dine in, and soak up the seasonal surprise.
You’ll need to have a public TikTok or Instagram account and follow @wahaca to redeem your treat. The offer is only available in-restaurant, at Wahaca locations across the UK including Brighton, Cardiff, Edinburgh, and 11 different London spots—from Shoreditch to Wimbledon.
A Taste of Mexico, Rain or Shine
Wahaca has long been loved for its bold Mexican street food, from guacamole made fresh every day with perfectly ripe Hass avocados, to its signature pork pibil tacos made with free-range British pork. Over 50% of the menu is meat-free and designed with sustainability in mind—no surprise considering Wahaca was named the UK’s most sustainable restaurant group by Which? in 2024.
“A British summer can be famously unpredictable, but we thought we could have some fun and make the best of it. Whether you’re dodging raindrops or basking in a heatwave, we want to bring a little extra joy to your day with bold flavours, fresh ingredients, and some rays of Mexican sunshine.”
