5 Independent Shops to Visit in Bath

Bath has long been a great place to shop with its eclectic mix of independent shops and high street chains. There’s something for everyone in this city and below are five independent shops you shouldn’t miss whether you are a resident or visiting for the day.

METICULOUS INK

For lovers of fine stationery you should definitely pay Meticulous Ink a visit. It’s located at the end of Walcot Street, Bath’s artisan quarter. Both a studio and a shop, Meticulous Ink prints all its own work and sells a range of stationery, including accessories for calligraphy. Why not pick up unique greeting cards or even sign up to one of their calligraphy workshops?

WE ARE OPEN in both real life and through the inter web! Maximum cleaning occurring in the shop and on the counter, and we’re stocked up ready for people to overbuy stationery! 😬😅 ⠀ I keep swapping between feeling like it’s all gonna be okay to WE’RE ALL DOOMED! As my mum always says, “Worry doesn’t change anything” which is true and also easier said than done. 🥴 ⠀ We’re making plans on how we can work from home when the time comes. We’ll be open at the shop until they tell us not to. The anticipation is heavy. 😧 ⠀ This is an opportunity to send a card, write a letter, or jot a note to someone special. We’ve got greeting cards galore and stationery sets to help you spread some joy. 💌 ⠀ A huge, enormous THANK YOU to everyone that has purchased recently. The team and I are massively grateful. Your support actually does brighten our souls and warm our hearts. 💕😭 ⠀ Every little purchase, no matter how small, will help us through this very strange time and what is likely to come next. If we’ve brought you any joy, creativity, or got you writing then I’d be immensely grateful for any purchase you could make right now. ✍🏼 ⠀ Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU from the bottom of my soul. 🥺 I hope you are okay out there. I’m compiling a list of fun lesson / tutorial kinda things to keep you occupied, so I hope to start on those next week. 🙌🏼 ⠀ #strangetimes #donttouchyourface #stillopen #stillopenforbusiness #visitbath #independentbath #keepbathafloat #meticulousink #stationeryhoarding #calligraphyfordays #shopsmall #shoponline #stationeryshop
