Review

Joyride follows Joybird Martin, an Uber driver who aspires to be a life coach.

After helping Wall Street hotshot Devon, he convinces Joybird to follow her dreams and start her life-coaching business from the driver's seat of her car. Nothing can stop Joybird from helping the broken people of New York; not even her non-committal crush Noah or her narcissistic dad Sid who shows up on her doorstep after losing everything.

I loved the book and couldn’t put it down – it's a fun read. Joyride is a loving and inspiring character. Earlier on in the book, Joyride could be quite frustrating by being an extreme people pleaser, naive towards her personal connections and blind to her own unhealthy decisions; however, it heart-warming to see her personal growth into an assertive and confident woman.

Last Impressions: A happy, feel-good read that made me feel positive and optimistic about my own ambitions in work and life.
