Things To Do In Bristol This Christmas 2021 

It is official. The temperatures have dropped, leaves have fallen and the decorations are out – Christmas is here! Eager as ever, Bristol’s festivities are out in full swing, incorporating delicious food, merry drinks and something to satisfy everyone’s idea of fun!

Whether us Bristol Girls are looking to kickstart that Christmas feeling or continue the excitement, take a look at what you can get involved in.

Bristol Christmas Market: 5th November – 23rd December

Location: Broadmead

Opening times: 10am – 10pm 

Cost: Free to peruse. Vendors will charge separately.

Back again for another year, Bristol Christmas Market is home to over 50 unique stalls, as well as entertainment from the likes of Santa and reindeer visits in December. You can enjoy heated seating, delicious drinks and live music in the Jäger Barn Bar, or you can peruse an array of traders selling seasonal delights, crafts and unique items.

Vintage Winter Wonderland: 11th November – 3rd January

Location: Millennium Square

Opening times: 10am – 11pm

Cost: Free to peruse. Vendors will charge separately.

Tucked close to popular bars and restaurants is this Christmas Fair of dreams! There is a fantastic line up of rides, games, bars and festive food – something for all of the family. Will you be bee-lining straight for the Dodgems, Chair-o-Planes or the Helter Skelter?!

Avon Valley Christmas Days & Nights: 3rd December – 31st December

Location: Avon Valley

Opening times: Day Event 10am – 1pm, Night Event 4pm – 9pm 

Cost: £14.95

During the day, the Park is home to an Enchanted Village featuring a Post Room for little ones to send letters to Santa. The resident reindeer are never far away and there’s also festive Train & Tractor rides. 

Come night time, you can follow and interact with the light trail around the park, using the lake and trees to create a spectacular backdrop. There’s also specialist independent caterers who have a festive feast for all visitors and a superb selection of seasonal drinks waiting at the bar.

PSA…Avon Valley is also home to a luxurious ice rink!

Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs: 4th December – 2rd January

Location: Bristol Hippodrome

Opening times: 1pm, 2pm & 7pm showings

Packed with all of the traditional pantomime ingredients Bristol audiences have come to expect, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will be spectacularly brought to life with an abundance of jaw-dropping dance, side-splitting comedy, sensational special effects and plenty of festive magic. Starring Lesley Joseph, Rob Rinder and Andy Ford.

Light Up Bristol: 19th November – 24th December 

Location: Ashton Court Estate

Opening times: 4:30pm – 8:30pm

Cost: £16/£17. You can buy your ticket on their website.

Light Up Bristol is a stunning illuminated walking experience in the heart of Bristol and the beautiful grounds of Ashton Court Estate. With something for everyone, stroll through the gardens and enjoy the beauty and wonder with your closest family and friends by your side! You can also warm up with a delicious hot chocolate, or indulge yourself in tasty food! Enjoy doughnuts and marshmallows by the fire or a hog roast at the courtyard.

Bristol Girl Christmas Charity Fair: Sunday 12th December 

Location: All Saints Parish Church

Opening times: 1:00pm – 3:30pm

Cost: £5. You can buy your ticket on the website.

Join Bristol Girl at their very FIRST Christmas Charity Fair raising much needed funds for 'Off the Record' - a Mental Health charity. All profits raised will go directly to the charity. There is SO MUCH going on, including:
