REVIEW 

I did not know what to expect sitting down to watch ‘I’m actually fine’ by Crumplehorn Theatre evoking images of Ross from Friends. 

I was definitely thinking along the right lines, when Harry sloped onto the stage in a very awkward manner which immediately evoked uncomfortable laughter from the audience. The Alma Tavern presents the perfect stage being an intimate space for Harry to invite us into his very interesting world. 

Harry invites us into the inner workings of his brain in this musical comedy starting with describing January as a demon - which I can certainly agree with. 

What follows is a musical turning Harry’s trauma into giggles, and there were plenty of those in the audience. Delving into his mental health woes including how depression doesn’t feel bad, but nothing certainly hit the nail on the head. 

Ultimately, by the end of this one hour delve into mental health making light of some very serious issues - it was almost uplifting to know, or for it to be pointed out that we are all a little bit broken. 

Unmissable if you don’t mind a giggle at your own mental health woes.

Standout Quote or Moment: ‘I’ve got a crab in my brain’ is a real ear worm. We were singing it for days afterwards.
