Dog Treat Review: It’s The Dog’s Peanut Butter Balls

We all knew the day that a box of 10 ‘It’s The Dog’s’ Peanut Butter Balls arrived in our house. Rather than sniffing out the tennis balls scattered around our house, our busy little cavachon, Scruffy, was ferociously sniffing and pawing her way into the box.

She doesn’t just love these treats, she’s obsessed with them.

Let me give you some context on our wonderful little bundle of fluff: she’s a true diva who’s very fussy when it comes to dog treats. She’s pawed away countless ‘W’ZIS’ treats from excitedly generous bar maids, and ‘they’re completely natural’ treats from butlers in upmarket hotels. She’s a brutally honest food reviewer.

But ‘It’s The Dog’s? Well, let’s put it this way: I’m writing this at my desk with a pack right next to me and she’s pawed my leg four times in the last minute to give her one.

It’s The Dog’s are premium roasted peanut butter balls. They’re made up of peanut butter for healthy fats and protein, chia seeds for omega-3s, a shiny coat and strong joints, and pumpkin to aid digestion.

They’re the fluffy love child of Sussex-based company, ‘The Protein Ball Co’, whose family of brands also includes Keto Balls, The Great Porridge Co and OLOVES. Created in their aptly described ‘pawsome factory’ on the Sussex Coast, they’ve created dog treats that hit all of the buzz words that a pet owner is looking for: all natural, gut friendly, high protein, grain free, non GMO and high fibre.

At £1.90 a bag (or £1.71 if you subscribe and save), these truly are worth the slightly higher price you pay (you buy 10 bags at a time). Though, to avoid the insistent sniffing whilst trying to work, I’d recommend storing them in a place that’s harder for your pooch to find.
