London’s Best Burgers

Ahead of International Burger Day, a day that to me I’d happily have as a public holiday, I wanted to share my favourite burger joints in London, a city I lived in for a decade.

Dip&Flip

The build your own

Dip&Flip is great fun. The namesake concept is a cheeseburger topped with roasted meats of your choice, in gravy. From that concept comes numerous varieties of burgers and sandwiches with gravys, sauces, and pickles, as well as ways to supersize with extra meat.

There are a small amount of veggie options but this is definitely one for carnivores. They’re open for delivery and takeout as well as being open for eating out. On Mondays-Wednesdays throughout August they’re also offering the Eat Out to Help Out Discount which entitles you to up to £10pp discount.

Patty&Bun

For the traditionalists

If you like your burgers American style, served in baskets and paper then Patty&Bun is the burger joint for you. They have restaurants in London and Brighton and for eat in on Mondays- Wednesdays they’re also offering Eat Out to Help Out.

For those of you reading this who won’t be in London they’re also doing burger kits, including a vegan option, which are available for nationwide delivery so you won’t miss out on delicious burgers!

Mac&Wild

For something a bit different

Mac & Wild is a Scottish restaurant which celebrates the produce of the Scottish Highlands. The Venimoo Burger which pairs a beef patty with a venison one. As well as being open for eat in and take away, and partaking in Eat Out to Help Out, the Venimoo is also available for nationwide delivery.

Bird

If you fancy a different kind of bun

At Bird, as the name suggests, the dish of the day is fried chicken. For me the Korean Burger is my go-to, but if you want to shave a few years off your life and up your cholesterol there’s also the popular waffle burger. It is sickly, it is salty, it is ever so delicious and it is absolutely huge! Again, on Mondays - Wednesday the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme applies for 50% off up to the value of £10pp.

Avobar

If you just really love avocados

As to be expected by the name Avobar is a place that is 100% geared at Millenials and Gen Z and embraces our communal love of the avocado. If you’re looking for a healthier way to celebrate International Burger Day then Avobar has a lot of options.

The Avo Bun Burger is their signature dish and combines a vegetarian patty with a coconut and herb dressing in their avo bun. It’s fun, a bit gimmick, but definitely worth trying this August on Mondays to Wednesdays with Eat Out to Help Out.

So that’s it, 5 burger spots in London for International Burger Day and Beyond.
