REVIEW

MAMMA MIA.. what a night! The audience was filled with ABBA outfits, glitter, flares and most importantly the biggest of grins. Before you even step foot in the MK Theatre grounds, you know exactly what show is playing, and theirs nothing more special than an enthusiastic atmosphere.

What’s the story of Mamma Mia? For those of you who haven’t had the pleasure of seeing the award winning movie. It’s about the bond between a daughter, Sophie and Mother, Donna - 20 years on Sophie is getting married and she’s always felt like something was missing. A father, so what better way to find out who that is then inviting all three potential father’s to the wedding?

For me personally, this is one of THE best musicals and it’s no surprise that every song such as Chiquitita, GIMME! GIMME! GIMME!, Dancing Queen the audience gasped holding in the urge to jump out their seats singing and dancing (Please not you do have to hold this in until the end of Act 2).

The biggest shoutouts go to Jena Pandaya who plays the daughter Sophie who grabbed the audience attention the minute the curtains pulled back. Donna, played by Sarah Poyzer with a powerful voice and the greatest enthusiam. I couldn’t think of a better cast for Mamma Mia! The Musical!

Standout Quote or Moment: The iconic stag do!
