Syra Hair Review: The Natural Haircare Ritual That Helped Me Reclaim My Scalp and Sleep

Over the past few months, I’ve been dealing with stress-related hair loss and a persistently irritated scalp. The kind that keeps you scratching through meetings and googling solutions at 2am. It was a true manifested blessing when Syra Hair sent me a range of their natural, wellness-led products to review.

Their mission to support hair health from the inside out really resonated with me, and after just a few weeks of using the products consistently, I started to notice real changes. Here’s what I tried and how each one played its part in soothing both my scalp and my nervous system.

AURA Scalp Balm – Hydrating Scalp Treatment

This balm was the first product I reached for, and it felt like a sigh of relief in a jar. It’s thick and nourishing, with a gentle herbal scent. I’ve used it as part of my hair wash routine, two mornings a week. I’ve really enjoyed responding to my morning emails whilst my scalp soaks and soothes.

Balance Hair Tea – Hormone Balancing Herbal Blend

I wasn’t sure what to expect from a tea designed to support hormone balance, but I really enjoyed this as part of a daily ritual. It definitely helps that it’s delicious (Hibiscus, Red Clover and Nettle Root), and a few days into try it I received an email from Syra’s brilliant newsletter suggesting an iced tea recipe (ideal for the heatwaves).

Essence Scalp Mist – Hair Growth Spray

This has been the standout product for me; not just for my hair, but for my sleep. I only use it at night, just before bed, and it’s become a comforting part of my wind-down routine. I gently spritz it over my scalp with an instant cooling sensation, and let the calming scent help settle my mind. It’s helped me reclaim a little peace at the end of the day.

Radiance Hair Oil – Cold Pressed and Organic

I’ve been using the Radiance Hair Oil once a week, massaging it into my scalp before bed and sleeping with it in overnight. The scent is warm and nourishing without being overpowering, and the oil itself absorbs beautifully without leaving residue on my pillow.

What makes it feel so effective is the blend of natural, cold-pressed oils including amla, moringa, black seed, sesame, pumpkin seed, and argan. These ingredients are known for supporting growth, reducing inflammation, and deeply conditioning the scalp and strands. After rinsing it out in the morning, my hair always feels softer, shinier, and more resilient; like it’s finally getting what it needs after months of stress.

Would I recommend Syra Hair?

Absolutely! The Essence Scalp Mist in particular is a staple product that definitely lives up to the hype.

I love so much about Syra Hair; the products, the community (Syrens) and the founder, Imane. A lot of heart, care and compassion has gone into building this brand, which you can read more about in Steph’s interview with Imane.

But more than anything, my experience with Syra Hair has taught me just how important haircare is: hair follicles are organs after all that need to be nurtured.

Syra Hair offers a grounding ritual that supports both mental health and hair health. A simple act of care that feels good from root to soul.
