Join us for November's Book Club, where we will be discussing Young Mungo by Douglas Stuart. November's theme is Scottish authors, as November celebrates St Andrew's Day.
After his Booker success with Shuggie Bain, Stuart's latest novel Young Mungo delivers an emotionally powerful and compassionate portrayal of sexuality and community set in urban Glasgow, as two young men on either side of a sectarian divide start to develop feelings for each other.
This event will be hosted at Haunt, Peter Street, in Manchester. Our book club events are now being run through the City Girl website, allowing us to give numbers to the venue beforehand and tickets are charged at £2 which helps us cover our costs to keep going.
