Merry Christmas City Girls! 🧑‍🎄

We are happy to share that we will be hosting an online opportunity on Christmas Day for CGs to join for ✨free✨ to have a chat, play some games and a cracking Christmas Quiz!

This season be fun and charming but for many people it can also be stressful, anxiety inducing or lonely.

If you are worried about being alone for Christmas or want a break from whatever plans you have feel free to pop in.

We will also be running a chat on Instagram for 24hrs - starting at 6am and finishing at midnight, where you can meet girls across the UK to have a safe space to talk about Christmas Day. The deadline to register is the 23rd December at 4pm.

For those of you struggling this Christmas season, it is okay to not feel merry every second of the day. It is okay to need support and help.

We'll start with a restful guided meditation gathering our energy after Christmas and the New Year. As you begin to unwind, we'll explore breathwork to bring in new energy, beginning to welcome in dreams and intentions for the year ahead.

Revived, we'll move into our vision boarding craft session. We've got images, quotes and inspiring words to help you bring your dreams to life in the year ahead. Whether you want to focus on career, health, fitness, relationships or travel or a mix of all these. It's entirely up to you.

Allow yourself space to see what resonates from the provided materials as you begin to create your vision board in our fun and friendly group.

This process is part of manifesting the year or future you wish for.

No yoga or art experience is necessary! This is for everyone.

All you need to bring is a pair if scissors, bottle of water, your creativity and a yoga mat if you have one.

Our latest Brighton Girl Book Club will take place on Tuesday 7th January at South Lanes Studio, where we’ll be discussing The Long Shadow by Celia Fremlin.

Our book clubs aren’t a serious affair. They’re just a nice opportunity to get together in a relaxed space and have a chat in small groups. We’ll give you a list of questions – shared before the event so you know what to expect – and your group can choose how you use them.

There have been so many long-lasting friendships made by our book clubs – it’s such a special event!

Tickets include a drink (a special selection of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks) and a small percentage of this fee goes into the Brighton Girl pot.)

MK Girl Writing Workshop

Join us for the Writing Workshop at Moxy MK!

MK Girl Writing Workshop is a monthly workshop for anyone interested in any style and genre of writing. It is an opportunity to meet like minded people and cultivate connections that can broaden your writing in the direction you want it to go or to simply explore this interest.

Whether you have writer’s block, are new to writing, want to write - we want to provide a space that can nurture a positive, creative outlet.

Hosted by our volunteer Event Host, Nova, who will be there to bring the team together and lead you in this workshop.

Each session will begin with getting to know each other & catching up, followed by various methods to get you writing & sharing. We will be looking at a focus every month to get those creative juices flowing in a relaxed, no pressure environment.

For December, this will be… Death & Rebirth!

The focus is subject to change based on the group’s decision.

Yoga & Sound Bath. Let's pause, and just be.

We'll start with some guided breathwork to help you arrive and settle. This event includes a gorgeous sound bath with chimes, singing bowls and a magnificent gong!

The afternoon also includes a guided meditation with slow gentle yoga-based movement. Please bring cushions, blanket and a yoga mat if you have one - or contact cjyoga@yahoo.co.uk to borrow. The event will close with a grounding snack and chance to share your experience with each other

Brighton Girl Book Club

Our latest Brighton Girl Book Club will take place on Tuesday 10th December at Earth and Stars, where we’ll be discussing A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness.

Our book clubs aren’t a serious affair. They’re just a nice opportunity to get together in a relaxed space and have a chat in small groups. We’ll give you a list of questions – shared before the event so you know what to expect – and your group can choose how you use them.

There have been so many long-lasting friendships made by our book clubs – it’s such a special event!

Tickets include a drink (a special selection of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks) and a small percentage of this fee goes into the Brighton Girl pot.)

Brighton Girl x Survivors Network - Reclaim the Night

Join Brighton Girl for the Reclaim the Night Protest on Friday 29th November.

We are waiving our community fee in support of this event and encourage you to donate directly to Survivors Network to support them in the important work they are doing.

We encourage you to join us at the meeting point: Prince Albert where we will have a large table outside before joining the protest with a group of brilliant Brighton Girls, ready to take to the streets to stand up against harassment, abuse, and gender-based violence.
