MK Girl and MK Charities are welcoming Milton Keynes businesses and community to join them for a fun social networking event whilst wrapping presents on Thursday 15th December at MK:U Innovation Hub. The event will start at 5.30pm until 9pm, we appreciate that some may not be able to stay the whole time.

We are joining Auntie Em’s Kitchen and Football Fun Factory for their MK Kids Christmas Campaign with their aim to help bring a stop to child food poverty. When we heard about them feeding children who will be attending the holiday club this Christmas we were so excited to be able to bring our known Brighton initiative ‘The Big Wrap’ to Milton Keynes and gift Santa stockings to 200 children between the ages of 5 and 12 years old.

We would like to note this is a completely non-profit campaign and all funds raised pays for the gifts and food for the children. Any excess funds will go directly to St Marks Meals, a charity who aims to have no child go to bed hungry.

The Big Christmas Wrap will be sponsored by Golson’s Boutique Hair Salon helping us bring the community together to wrap 1000 gifts. The children will have 5 gifts in their Santa stocking and this will include: Decorated ginger bread men, fidget spinners, football shirt water pouch, chocolate bar and thermal gloves.

This is the perfect opportunity to get to know your community and you are all invited! Tickets are limited due to the space and on the evening of The Big Wrap there will be a live feed of how much we’ve managed to raise it will close on the 17th December, you will also hear from Auntie Em’s Kitchen, Football Fun Factory and Charlotte Moyle, our Community Manager and CEO of MK Charities and announcement of our sponsors for the gifts and food.
